Deutsch: Papst Pius XI.
The roman catholic church (RCC) is on a mission: not a mission of peace and love, but a mission in which it is hell-bent on bringing all people in the world under its rule of law, either directly or by proxy. For all the talk of ‘tolerance’ – which at best is only slightly veiled contempt – the RCC, in actuality, wants nothing to do with tolerating other religions and other ways of thinking. N.B. As always, this post refers to catholics in general; there are individuals and organizations that call themselves catholic, such as Catholics for Choice, which do not agree with all the official positions of the RCC. The Masks of Roman Catholicism and Islam

Islam

Depending on who you speak with, listen to or read, you may have previously been told that the religions of roman catholicism and islam are religions of peace and that any person indicating otherwise is grossly misinformed. But this is a lie. The religions of roman catholicism and islam are both elitist, fascist and convinced that the right thing to do is to convert everyone in the world to their (un)respective banners. While methods may vary between the two groups, the telos for each is the same: dominate and control everyone, although they may use less explosive language, such as lead, guide, shepherd, instruct or more of the like. End Homophobia, Save Lives

Long after the original court decision that prohibited Catholic Charities in the dioceses of Joliet, Springfield and Belleville of Illinois from continuing to offer child adoptive and fostering services that discriminate against couples from the TBGLQ community as well as unmarried straight couples, Catholic Charities in Illinois is finally admitting defeat. That’s right! From now on none of us will be pestered by this hateful organization petitioning to have laws bent in such a manner that they be allowed to continue to discriminate against anyone their unsophisticated, immature and dishonest theology singles out as being ‘evil’ or egregiously sinful. Things are really getting heated in the State of Illinois with respect to the State and the catholic church. Back in January, Illinois Governor Pat Quin signed into law the Illinois Religious Freedom Protection and Civil Union Act (IRFPCUA) which does not grant members of the TBLG community the right to marry, but it does give them the right to enter into civil unions; the IRFPCUA came into force on June 1, 2011. In addition to allowing members of the TBLG community to enter into civil unions, it also made it against the law for organizations receiving public money to deny adoption and foster care services to unmarried straight couples or TBLG couples. But now, in addition to fighting to have the State reverse its position on adoption and Read the rest of this entry →

So the assholes at Catholic Charities, the ones who recently lost their court battle: a battle being waged between the State of Illinois and Catholic Charities, because they didn’t want to comply with new State laws requiring child fostering and adoption service providers to not discriminate against couples that didn’t fit the bill of straight and married. When the court case was lost, they vowed they would be back: No one is going to tell these assholes that they can’t say no to fags, dykes or straight people living in mortal sin. Now, of course, most catholics don’t use these words when they are out in public, and most of those do not say them at all. But the same sentiment lies beneath the surface of the words they do use.

Go to the story at the Houston Chronicle. It details the latest developments in this case.
